There are approximately 12 million destitute children in India, despite the presence of several children's charity organizations.
The Children’s Village was launched in May 2003, to provide destitute children with food, shelter, clothing, health care, education & love.
Located in Kottayam town, one of the southern states of Kerala, the village was launched with 1 home and 14 children. The village currently houses 63 children in 4 homes. These children are cared for by 5 loving care mothers.
We hope to launch many more homes and expand to our neighbouring states as well. Our hope is to build the foundations of a compassionate society through the love and peace, that the village offers to the children in its care. |
